My friend launched this pretty awesome site where you can get/give referrals! I no longer have a dig around hoping for a good auto mechanic! Yay! Check it out!

| Good news! Gil got back to the U.S. safe and sound last night after 7 months in Iraq. Thanks to everyone who's been praying/thinking about him since he left. Whew... I didn't think this day would ever come!
There's so much to update that I can't do it any justice right now. How in the world do people find the time to blog?!?!

| Wow, time goes by really fast. I am also really terrible at updating my xanga... I would say I'll try to update more frequently but I don't know if that's a promise I can keep.
Thanks to everyone who has been supportive of my friends over in Iraq right now. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. My friend Phil had a terrible close call last week. I can't imagine what it would be like to be one seat away from dying. Here's an excerpt from his email:
"Early
yesterday morning I experienced a true miracle. As the Mission Commander
for an operation with twelve vehicles and seventy-five Marines my vehicle
engaged an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). My vehicle was moved over
thirty feet before it landed. There were five of us in my HMMWV, including
me. I got out of it and walked (really ran) away literally without a
scratch. One of my Marines injured his hip pretty bad; he was the vehicle
gunner in the turret and was blown out about 30 meters from the vehicle.
Two other Marines, my Platoon Comm Chief and driver were burned very bad and
are already in Germany getting follow-on surgeries for their burns. My
close friend, Lieutenant Nate Krissoff, was an attachment to my platoon for the
mission. He was sitting right behind me and was Killed in Action (KIA) immediately.
I was on fire and put the fires out on myself before running to assist putting
out the fires on two of the other guys. My HMMWV erupted in flames
instantly and everything was a world of orange with thick black smoke, with
follow-on explosions. I'll spare telling the details."
There is so much to be thankful for in life.
